UPDATE...

Thanks to Mom, Sharon, and Ingrid the decision was made today to have Subway prepare sandwiches for our Knuth Reunion. Each family is responsible for contributing to that cost. More details to follow after we get a final head count.
As of today 5/4/09 I have only recieved photo's from Sharon. I am doing something and need photo's, old photo's, old reunion photo's, and preferably a photo of each ones family. If you could scan and e-mail to me ASAP that would be much appreciated. If you can't e-mail them to me, and have photo's PLEASE let me know and we can make arrangements for me to make copies. Thank you-
As of today, I have only gotten 2 responses regarding interest in the "Knuth" T-Shirts. If you are interested in a T-Shirt I need to know ASAP. I need the size, and number of T-Shirts wanted. As soon as I get a final count on the T-Shirts I can give you a price$$
Thanks for your help, and prompt attention BECAUSE we are only a little over a month away from the Reunion.
Thanks so much-
Krista

Date and Location Confirmed, today....

OK, the ball is rolling here...
MARK YOUR CALENDARS
and.....bring your fishing poles!
I spoke w/ our Aunt Jeanette (Knuth) this morning about who to contact to reserve the Sportsman's Park in Cascade, IA. She told me that she would make a call and get back to me this afternoon.
Jeanette called me back and LUCKILY the Sportsman's Park "is" avaliable on the date that we initially had in mind. Jeanette reserved the Sportsman's Park for June 13th, 2009 @ 11am. THANKS JEANETTE!!
We are in the very early stages of planning, and right now we are talking about the MEAT being provided and everyone is responsible for bringing a covered dish
  • Before we can go any further with the planning of the FOOD, I need to get a head count as to how many KNUTH'S and FAMILIES are planning on going to the Knuth Reunion. When that count is calculated, we can move forward with a few decisions regarding the FOOD and Beverages.
  • However, everyone is to bring a covered dish, and that way we can share / exchange recipies AND there will be 2 prizes. One prize for the "best covered dish", and one prize for the "best dessert."
  • So, if those of you that are planning on attending, there will be a sign up sheet for the covered dish/dessert

  • If you are interested in Knuth Reunion T-shirts, I need your sizes, and $ sent to me by May 15th. (After speaking with Mark @ Hollywood Graphics I will post the design, and the cost of T-Shirts the week of April 20th)

  • I need to have a HEAD COUNT as to who plans on attending the Knuth Reunion, by May 15th.

I am doing "something" AND again I am asking EVERYONE to e-mail, or send me any old photo's of Grandma Nell, and Grandpa Hans and/or their children BECAUSE I am doing something and if I don't have enough photo's I am not going to be able to do it.

  • GET YOUR BEST PHOTOGRAPHS OUT, AND GET THEM TO ME VIA E-MAIL OR SNAIL MAIL ~ NO LATER THEN MAY 15TH
  • I ALSO NEED each of you to write your favorite memory of Grandma Nell and Grandpa Hans. Or, Hans and Nellies Children, can share a favorite childhood Memory, or lesson. I ALSO NEED THESE NO LATER THEN MAY 15TH

I appreciate ALL of your help in our attempt to make our Knuth Family Reunion a memorable get together.

I look forward to seeing EVERYONE!

Please forward on to any, and all members of the Knuth Families...

Thank you-

The game of Aggravation is considered "Vintage"

The Game
"Aggravation"

I remember as a child looking so forward to our trips to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa Hans was always good for a game of Aggravation, and I loved that game.

I did learn to play the game of Aggravation from Grandpa Hans, and I am ALWAYS up for, that game. In fact I have always kept Aggravation on hand, and I believe I will bring the game of Aggravation to our Reunion.

Game on, for all of you that used to get in on a game of Aggravation at Grandma and Grandpa's House ;)

Krista

I went to buy "thee" game of Aggravation as a gift for my Grandson this past Christmas and they no longer make the game of Aggravation like they used to :( Aggravation is considered, VINTAGE.
They have a new fangled design to the board, and personally I do not like it. However, I did end up getting it for my Grandson because he to loves to play the game of Aggravation. I jumped online and found an original, and I am going to hang on to that :)

Cascade Falls

This historic photograph shows a ledge of dolomite bedrock breaking the flow of the North Fork Maquoketa River at Cascade in Dubuque County. The natural outcrop forms the base for a low-head dam that supplied water power for the adjoining mill.
